Hello. My name is Dr. O and this week I’m going to discuss the Invisalign treatment system.
If you have seen the Invisalign commercials on TV, you can understand why this orthodontic treatment system has revolutionized our industry. It allows us to correct the alignment of your teeth using clear plastic aligners instead of traditional braces.
The aligners are custom-tailored to produce a certain amount of movement. As we progress through your treatment plan, you will receive a series of aligners – anywhere from 5 to10 to 20 aligners – which are prepackaged and numbered for your convenience. About every two weeks you simply switch out the aligners as your teeth slowly move in the direction that has been pre-programmed or programmed the teeth to move.
